The ASPCA is an animal rescue organization, shelter, and veterinary service based in Manhattan, New York, that works to save thousands of animals every year. According to the ASPCA, it is estimated that 3.3 million dogs enter shelters each year. October is Adopt-A-Shelter Dog month the ASPCA has teamed up with Moose Toys (creators of
the smash-hit “Shopkins” line) to offer FREE express grooming services at New York’s ASPCA Adoption Center on 92nd Street on Thursday, October 3rd.
Moose Toys will cover the costs of the grooming in addition to covering all adoption costs at the center at the event and every Monday in October and use the event to promote their brand-new rescue-centric plush, line known as “Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue”. Each Scruff-a-Luv comes in a package and needs to be unwrapped, washed, and cared
for by the child who adopts it, much like actual rescues. Scruff-A-Luvs are unique toys because they are designed to provide children with an experience akin to adopting and nurturing a shelter pet of their own. With a bath and some extra care, kids take their toy “from scruffy to fluffy” and discover a furry friend for life! Real Rescue brings the magic of the original Scruff-a-Luv to life electronically with 35 lifelike features and sounds.
Moose Toys is a proud supporter of the ASPCA. Along with consumer support, the toy giant has graciously donated $250K to the nonprofit over the past twelve months.
